Soccer

Association football, more commonly known as football or soccer, is a team sport played between two teams of eleven players, and is widely considered to be the most popular sport in the world.

The length of the pitch for international adult matches is in the range 100–110 m (110–120 yd) and the width is in the range 64–75 m (70–80 yd). Fields for non-international matches may be 91–120 m (100–130 yd) length and 45–91 m (50–101 yd) in width, provided that the pitch does not become square.

A rectangular goal is positioned at the middle of each goal line. The inner edges of the vertical goal posts must be 7.3 m (8 yd) apart, and the lower edge of the horizontal crossbar supported by the goal posts must be 2.44 m (8 ft) above the ground. Nets are usually placed behind the goal, but are not required by the Laws.

AFL

Australian rules football is a football variant played between two teams of 18 players which is played outdoors on large oval shaped grass fields (often also used as a cricket ground), with a ball in the shape of a prolate spheroid.

The playing field, which may be approximately 150m (or more) long goal to goal and approximately 135 m (or more) wide boundary line to boundary line wing to wing. Approximately 3 to 5 metres of boundary line space from the boundary line to the fence is also required. The centre square is 50m x 50m. The curved fifty metre line is 50 m away from the centre of the goal. For professional Australian Football the 50 metre lines should not intersect the front or back edge of the centre square (which is why 150m from goal to goal is considered about regulation size (some grounds are longer)). Adjacent goal and behind posts are 6.4 metres apart. The goal square is 9m long.

Rugby

Rugby union is a competitive outdoor contact sport, played with an oval[1] ball, by two teams of 15 players. There is also a seven-a-side variant named rugby sevens, which is played under modified laws. Rugby union is often referred to as simply rugby.
