Carbon Planet

Carbon Planet conducted a comprehensive assessment of the greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions accountable to the Australian operations of TEAM Sports for FY 2008/09.

TEAM Sports produced an overall total of 14,255.4 tonnes of GHG emissions, also known as CO2 equivalents (CO2e). This total includes indirect contributions along the supply chain and any credits.

Under Section 13 of the National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting Act 2007 (NGER), TEAM Sports is below the lowest reportable corporation theshold for FY2010/11 of 50 kiltonnes of CO2e per year (or 200 terajoules (TJ) of energy consumption), and/or below the facility threshold of 25 kilotonnes of CO2e per year (or 100 TJ of energy consumption), for the initial three years of the reporting period, commencing FY 2008/09.

Although TEAM Sports has no mandatory reporting obligations in the foreseeable future, we plan to continue to monitor and reduce our carbon footprint.
